Going to an Indian Wedding
from w
Malvina married Sashrika last night in a fabulously colourful Hindu wedding in Williamstown Town Hall. There was so much colour, bling, music, and with each ceremony the lights changed the colours of the pavilion on the stage. We've been to many Indian weddings - some Christian, some Hindu - and this was beautiful and the bride was the daughter of friends who were in Geelong for a time - Fiji Indian people from Nadi. The old heritage listed hall was transformed for the evening into lots of bling. My modest orange and purple was dull compared with the gorgeous saris most of the women wore. There's more about the story on babasiga blog - which these days only has non-political stuff on it!
