False alarm at a hospital

from w
A story in today's Fiji Times is about a mother and son who flew from New Zealand to Fiji and had some coughs and sniffles so were immediately put into a hospital for tests for HINI. The woman said whenever they walked in the hospital corridor, everyone ran away in a panic. The tests proved they only had ordinary flu. Shows what happens when the media gives insufficient news and puts people in a spin. So far in Australia, HINI flu is rather like a heavy cold not even as bad as seasonal flu. Let's hope it stays that way, of course. Apparently in Singapore there's a travel warning for people not to go to Melbourne - which is rather an over-reaction.
