A leaf in drought

from w
We started the Geelong Visual Diary blog about a year ago and I posted some pics of pretty autumn leaves. This year the leaves so far are not pretty, but are brown with hardly any yellow or orange. This is one from a creeper in our garden. I did a pic of it but I couldn't get the leathery look. Today I paint to try and forget a sore throat!

Pako Festa is on again - next Saturday

Pako Festa is celebrating 25 years of Geelong's major multicultural festival which attracts many thousands of people to Geelong West's Pakington Street every year. Scores of different ethnic groups will have food stoods, take part in a parade, and present dance performances at various venues. The Fijian Dance Group from Altona Meadows will perform songs and dance in Pakington Street.
