Rotunda in the Park
from w
An oldfashioned rotunda is still in Johnstone Park near the Geelong library. Perhaps in earlier days the brass band played to concerts there. The picture here is part of a larger painting, originally a sketch in pink ink, I just added my new watercolour pencils and I was too lazy to fetch water so I just used my left-over green tea!

You're having more fun with those things...! ;-)
Interestingly, I've only used watercolor pencils once since my elementary school days...and it was last year while I was in Australia!
I like the use of inventive color in this one. Good job.
I was going to add, I see that those wc pencils really give a lot of saturated color - you're going to have fun with them, I'm sure.
Thanks for your comments. It does mean that I can take a box of coloured pencils in my bag when out in the open air and something catches my attention - rather than a mixture of old pens or whatever I find in the bottom of my shoulder bag. I just cannot take an easel, board and paints on the bus!
