Shoes near the back door
from w
An artist blogger Andrea posts lovely, carefully drawn pictures of life around her in Wales, even one pic of her shoes. She uses biros and her work is very detailed. I tried, but just can't slow down. Here is a picture of my shoes near the back door - but there are a dozen other pairs of shoes nearby, guys shoes, even working boots, belonging to the family.

I think your shoies look carefully drawn to me, they are great and i love the composition.
I think I am doing too many things to just sit and draw my shoes, sigh. I find relaxing one of the hardest things to do.
Seems like I am being a little (?) old lady doing domestic drawings instead of going out there to the hills and plains in the wind and the rain.
But drawing inside a warm room, or muckin' about on the computer is good in the winter time.

A pretty good try, i think. I don't know how Andrea does it!
I miss your daily drawings Alison, but it's good you are getting back to your Memory paintings which are a delight. We do learn from each other too. That Andrea - gosh, her patience and care with her work is amazing.

I love your shoes, too. I think that still life's of objects that hold meaning for us, for our everyday lives, are my favorite kind of art. Thank you.
