journey to Bateman's Bay NSW

from w

We had a great weekend to go to Vili and Laura's wedding in Bateman's Bay, but it was such a long, long way. Ten hours by car there, and eleven hours by car back! I'll post a few quick sketches I did here and there and write up the stories later on - after shopping and catching up, and chasing ants who found the breakfast cereal while we were away!

The sketches include dairying country in the Bega district, trees after a fire, and four views from a balcony of Laura's parents' house in Bateman's Bay Long Beach area.

Wendy they look lovely, have never been on the bit between melbourne and Sydney, one day perhaps. So what did you wear?
Oh and our Islands, we have about 6 around the Victor area, makes it really interesting with a causeway and horse tram connecting the biggest one.

Hours and hours of driving through forests - from Orbost up to Eden. Some state forests as well as timber logging areas. Mountains, rivers, beautiful country.
Though our Kiwi driver, Joe, said, that's not a mountain! that's not a steep drop, that's not a bend!
I wore a true blue tailored dress -after all the fuss about black and white!
