The Briar Patch at the Wintergarten
from w
From an elderly kind of Congregational church with a balcony the Wintergarten building in McKillop Street, Geelong,
was revamped into a fine venue for a cafe, garden shop, art gallery, and Briar's Patch entered from a side door in the cafe. It's an Aladdin's cave of pretty things - gifts, fabrics, pottery, all kinds of items to decorate a home. Hidden away, though the proprietor said it's been there for years and people do know about it. I tood three photos there because I enjoy the chaos of a crowded shop with beautiful treasures even though I can't afford to buy any.
