Exploring Curlewis

from w
For Father's Day we drove around Curlewis - near Drysdale and Clifton Springs, exploring a road that leads to the sea and to millionaire mansions that have security gates.  Hermsly Road leads to the sea but the last part is just a downhill walking track. It would make a marvellous picnic area if made more accessable to the public, but I think most of this area is for the privileged.  I took photos and will make some sketches later. We also went to Clifton Springs to just sit in the sun. Two of the photos here are from property promotions for selling houses and one is of Coriyule, a pioneer homestead of Anne Drysdale and Caroline Newcomb which is down a side road from Coriyule Road. The new housing estates of Clifton Springs almost reach it nowadays.
