New Year in Geelong

First breakfast for the New Year - at 10 a.m. outside before the rains come. Peceli and I had breakfasted a bit earlier. Plan to play tennis then picnic at Eastern Beach but the dark clouds are threatening. It's lovely to have a daughter-in-law who is a great cook. I just sat back and tended my aching bones. People sleeping in a small tent, bungalows, a caravan, and the house. Lovely to get together. Last night we had a party with kava, a barbecue, and plenty of stories, and visitors popping in. A family from Melbourne are down here with us - Ben from Bua, Ane, and five small children so that is delightful. And the pet rodents, Izzie and Fuzzie, had a grass dinner last night, fresh of course.
