Iconic St Mary's in Geelong

An art exhibition is currently being shown at the Wintergarten gallery in McKillop Street but only for two more days. It's good to focus on one subject and ask several artists to contribute. Hey, nobody asked me? I have some sketches I made inside St Mary's at one time. A visit to this art gallery is usually worthwhile as they change the art works every month. Downstairs is a cafe of course and out the back a delightful garden sculpture shop.

Until December 24th art@wintergarden will be showing the Geelong Icon Exhibition. Regional artists have created images from buttresses to spires, linocuts to bold oils and subtle watercolours of St Mary of the Angels Basilica.

See work by William Warren, Margaret Woodhead, Robert Tantau, Priscilla Fenton, David Moore, Glenys Bryant, Lynette Palmer, John McClumpha, Faye Owen, Marion East, Jan Synot, Dij Vriens, Maria Harrison & Steve Harrison.

Works from Jill Shalless, Mirjana Margetic and Ray Reardon complete the space with complimentary paintings.
