Queen's Park Golf Course in Flood

from Peceli
This morning we drove to see the floods at Queen's Park, a golf course where I have played many times. It's a very popular golf course with a cafe and golf shop, and also a recreational site for walkers beside the river and for picnics. The Moorabool River and Barwon Rivers are both very high at present. How different it was from our visit to Fyansford last month when it was a drought. We had a nice lunch at the Queen's Park cafe, with a new owner, and had a practice putting on the nearby green. There is something going on next to the older single-lane bridge at Queen's Park. A new shiny bridge is going up, a temporary bridge for a bike race next month. The flood waters are already reaching it!
