And another old painting

from w
It hangs on the lounge room wall. In 2 minutes I clicked on the camera to take four pictures around the house, but it took 20 minutes to get my son off the computer! Here is one of the pictures - a gum tree by Lake Benanee over the Murray River from Robinvale. Acrylic paint. Even then I liked the twisty lumpy kind of trees!

What a wonderful tree, Wendy. I love, twisty trees, too, but I have never seen a gum tree. Your lights and soft colors are so lovely.

This is only one kind of gum tree. There are numerous types. This one has these lumps on them that some woodcarvers turn into bowls. My youngest brother has made large tables, church furniture, liturgical sculptures from the redgum. It's a beautiful wood.
