Thirty nine years ago

from w
At Ba hospital in Fiji, a chubby little boy was born about 11 p.m. 11th November, thirty-nine years ago. Our second son. This photo was taken in Bendigo, Australia when he was about three months old and Peceli was on deputation work for the Methodist Church.

Rob had a beautiful life, was beloved by many people, but then the accident happened on Malolo Island.

Rob - 11.11.69 - 10.7.2000.

The photo was taken at the resort with a friend from Geelong.

Hello Annie,
Thank you for your kind comments.
So you haven't got a blog yet, but I am sure you will have lots of stories, once you start. I read your profile with interest - you too are curious to explore the world and all if its surprises.

Oh, no...

What happened? Or is it right to ask?

No parent should have to bury their own child.

Hello Moody,
I don't talk about it on-line, but it was simply an accident on a hill. Life in Fiji was very messy those months because of the 2000 coup, so we had to go through road-blocks, be near a military shakeup in Labasa etc. It was a terrible time. But we can be grateful for having such a cheerful lovely young man in our family. The tourists who knew him at the resort in Fiji kept coming to our door in Geelong, weeping when they heard.

Wendy, I had no idea.

What a beautiful baby... has such deep, soulful eyes, and so aware.. for such a young age.

The later picture... he looked very happy.

I am sorry for your loss... this was a beautiful post.

I think of Robin often. His smile was contagious and I see it in photos of all your boys.
Lots of love

Hello Um Naief. Thank you for your comments. I enjoy your posts about your life in such a different country and your little boy's adventures certainly are interesting.

Hi Bron,
Bon jour I should say. Hope to see your gang next month. I don't like special Christmas cooking so we might lob on your Mum and Dad one day and catch up with you all if you are still coming over.
