Winter tree

A wimpy drawing here from a lost sketchbook that was found today. I realized that the tree was slap bang in the middle which doesn't make for a good look. Though it does work for a Geelong artist who designed the picture of the rotunda in Johnstone Park. The formal look perhaps suits a poster type of picture.

Well, I guess I'm just a Wimpy Beginner, then, because I don't see a problem with that picture of yours. The building, the tree, and the fence to the right march down the page at an angle, and I see them as an interesting cluster of forms.

I guess I was talking to myself, disappointed that I just did a drawing with a cheap biro instead of thinking through what colours and textures I could have painted it with. I am bone lazy at times.

I think the lane is the focus and it's not bang in the middle - anyway, rules are there to be broken...
Wendy, thanks for asking about a blog. I may graduate within the year from Computer Illiterate to Semi-illiterate. I just learned how to use an RSS feed to get to a Google Reader--you can't believe what a Computer Wimp I am. I think it will be awhile before I can manage a scanner or learn how to UPload-- shoot, I can't often DOWNload.
But life is full of mystery and surprise, so who knows...

Our grandchildren know more about the computers than us, but they are not good teachers as they are just so blinking fast. Learn one thing at a time of course. I just could not put in pictures at first and after two weeks I got it!

Yes, my 4 and 1/2 grandson can whip that Mouse into submission and he has a long list of things on his Bookmark to go click. He showed me how to enlarge YouTube videos to full screen (when they have the thingy to do it) and other stuff.
