A book of poems from Croatia

I received a welcome gift in the post this week - a book of poems all the way from Croatia. A few years ago we were together in a writing group and Maria Banko's poems often were about homesickness for her country of origin. Her husband went back first, and then she followed. She has published five little books of poems and this is the latest.

Thanks for visiting our Geelong blog Stela. I checked out your artwork and it looks great. Peceli had a look and noticed that your pictures of chairs is similar to an idea he is developing to do something with television sets!

poetry books... i love them. i really enjoy reading maya angelo. i have several of hers and they touch me. this one that you have sounds interesting in that she writes about her longing for her homeland. i could probably identify w/ a lot of it.
oh yeah... i'm working on a new painting. i get bored being upstairs most of the day and decided to give painting a go... and i was feeling inspired. once i finish it... i'll post it online. i don't draw like you though...
