Balyang Sanctuary - without water

Peceli and I drove to Balyang Sanctuary yesterday about 7.30 p.m. Despite the lake being totally dry and cracked there were picnic people about and lots of yellow-crested cockatoos who get their water presumably from the nearby Barwon River which is still flowing. I did a quick pastel sketch on coloured paper A3 size and divided into two to scan and post here. Apparently the garden guys had partly drained the lake and then nature did the rest.
