A strange botanical tree

It was a lovely sunny day and a group of us had a picnic in the Botanical Gardens, went for a stroll and then gutsed ourselves with icecreams. I saw a strange little tree I hadn't noticed before so did a quick pencil sketch and added colour later at home. I need to go back sometime and really look at it and make a decent painting of it.

Lovely graphic. And yes, although sexist as it may sound coming from my mouth (keyboard?) I do think groups of women enjoy gathering and talking and being together, and draw strength and support from that more quickly and easily than do groups of men. Although I secretly think men are jealous of this capacity of women to gather easily. ;-)
