Point Henry continued

from w
Here's another pic I made at Point Henry yesterday, plus a poem Peceli wrote about ten years ago that was published in a book 'Images of Geelong'. This was in response to a painting by Walt Withers 'A Breezy Day off Point Henry' by Walt Withers - 1901This was apparently a time when people did go into the water there to paddle. Today there are a few fishermen in boats, some dogs running, and some loners who want to get away from the suburbs. Point Henry is about 10 k from today's Geelong city centre but earlier on it was the place where the early European settlers arrived to live in the region. Click on poem pic to enlarge in order to read more easily.

Some photos Peceli took at Alcoa.
