O little town of Bethlehem

A friend posted this picture on Facebook and it's rather confronting that in these present days the Middle East is such a disturbing place. Bethlehem isn't some place to be sentimental about, and certainly Jerusalem is not the golden city of light and greatness these days.  This picture by placing the wall between the travellers, Mary and Joseph, and the destination of Bethlehem, puts the story into the context of the world of refugees and division as it probably was in in those days two thousand years ago.  Our sentimental notion gets in the way of reality it seems.
