Music and me - one I left out
from w.
This is a more up-to-date one - perhaps ten years on from the latest in the series. these days I mainly play an electronic organ at the local church. It conked out last week and I had to play the piano instead but that's okay. It was only two fuses but now there's a pulsating throb in the speakers that annoys all the folks who have hearing aids!

My mother does the same sort of thing you do...play organ at the church. Her organ didn't conk out, but apparently her back did, and for a while she had to stop. She has only recently started playing again.
Unfortunately there aren't many young people coming forward to play music in church. There are two of us at East Geelong - both gettin' on a bit. It's unrealistic to continue with the style of music that belongs to the 19th century and before (huge pipe organs etc.) though ours in easy to play being electronic. Guitars, drums, keyboards may be the way to go and certainly this is happening in some churches.
